A very small percentage of individuals, even those who have no history of seizures, may experience a seizure or blackouts when exposed to certain visual images, including certain light patterns or flashing lights that may appear in video games or certain patterns of backgrounds on a television screen or video monitor. If you, or anyone in your family, has an epileptic condition or has had seizures of any kind, consult your doctor before playing. Immediately discontinue use and consult a doctor if you or your child has any of the following symptoms: dizziness, eye or muscle twitching, disorientation, involuntary movements, loss of awareness, altered vision, convulsions. The likelihood of seizure when playing video games may be reduced by taking the following precautions:
Play in a well-lit room.
Do not play when you are drowsy or need sleep.
Take a 15 minute break every hour.
Hold the screen as far away from yourself as possible.
Play video games on the smallest screen available.
